Movimento Strings is our biggest Soundbox project to date, delivering a large-scale, deeply detailed chamber string library to Audiomodern's platform.
If you write for film, TV, or cinematic music, you'll likely already know that long, sustained notes often sound too static, too clean, too lifeless – this is what Movimento Strings was designed to solve.
We recorded it with a 12-piece ensemble on a large scoring stage, it focuses on subtle motions that make string sections feel alive – players rebowing at slightly different times, dynamics gently fluctuating, tone colours constantly shifting within sustained notes...
The result is a constantly shifting, organic texture which brings that extra sense of motion to your music. It's ideal for epic cinematic chords, fragile textures, ambient scoring, harmonic beds, expressive underscores, and more.
There are two versions...
Standard - where each of the four articulations are rendered into a ready-to-play mix that sounds great right out of the box. Simply load any of the patches and start writing!
Professional - which adds advanced tools like multiple mic positions and an ‘EXTRA’ performance pass to expand the ensemble while keeping it natural and organic-sounding.
Of course, there's also an upgrade from Standard to Professional.
