Each library in this unique collection doesn’t begin with a product idea or market research, it starts with our own experiments. We build things simply because we’re curious, and if they’re still interesting at the end of the process, they become libraries.

All Things Bleak & Beautiful

Dark Veil originated with recordings of bowed instruments from the North Caucasus which struck us with their dark, textural beauty. Then we began experimenting – running the sounds through pedals, amps, effects, different effect chains and more, reshaping the raw performances into something entirely new.

The result is a textural instrument for Soundbox that makes incredibly playable cinematic drones and immersive atmospheres. Nothing here is meant to sound clean or pristine. Every sound is rich with movement and character.

Truly Expressive

Many of the fifteen presets take full advantage of Soundbox’s MPE capabilities but if you don’t have an iPad or an MPE controller, or simply prefer to use your standard midi keyboard, the presets are also available in a ’Modwheel’ version, where the Modwheel controls the same parameters.

What Is Audiomodern Soundbox?

Soundbox supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) and is also multi-touch enabled, making it one of the very few audio samplers offering both MPE and full multi-touch support on iPad.

By using any of our packs with Soundbox, all features are unlocked with the exception of the Sample and Mapping editor (which allows importing and editing of your own sounds). If you’d like to unlock this editor, you’ll need to purchase at least one original Soundbox expansion from Audiomodern’s website. Once activated, the editor is permanently unlocked and includes free lifetime updates.
